How do I apply for financial aid?
To begin the financial aid process, students first need to review the guidelines for applying for and receiving financial aid at Penn GSE. These available on-line at www.sfs.upenn.edu/home/finasst/grad/ged/guide.htm. Many of the federal and Penn financial aid programs are based on need, which is demonstrated through the federal application called a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You may complete the FAFSA on-line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ using the institutional code 003378.

There is no separate application process for scholarships, assistantships, and fellowships. All admitted students will be considered for these awards by the Financial Aid Committee.

International students are eligible for Penn GSE assistantships, scholarships, and fellowships but not federal funded aid. They should contact their own governments and the American Embassy (or Consulate) for information regarding other possible financial assistance. Permanent residents of the United States are treated as citizens for financial aid purposes.

When do I start classes?
With the exception of the Teacher Education and executive doctoral programs, all programs follow the Penn academic calendar.

How can I schedule a campus visit?
