Financial Aid

At Penn GSE, we are committed to making our education accessible to qualified students like you. Many of our students look at their Penn graduate degree as an investment in their future and finance their graduate education through a combination of institutional funding, federal aid and private loans.  Institutional funding consists of PennGSE scholarships, graduate assistantships and fellowships that are awarded based primarily on merit.  Federal aid consists of Stafford loan, Perkins loan and work-study programs that are primarily awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need.  Private educational loans such as Citi-Assist loans are also available to help you cover the cost of your education.

You must be a US citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for federal aid and private loans. International students are eligible for Penn GSE scholarships, assistantships, and fellowships but not federally funded aid or private loans.

Please read the rest of the financial aid website carefully for detailed information on GSE sponsored aid and the application process.  If you have any questions or need to talk with someone, please feel free to contact us at 215-898-6415, 1-877-PENNGSE or finaid@gse.upenn.edu.
