On the first Friday of each month, you'll find Doug browsing through the art galleries that host open houses. Since its inception in 1991, First Friday gallery-going has become one of the city's most popular evenings out - and a great date activity.

Every August, Center City District hosts a weekly event called Concerts in the Park where Rittenhouse park goers can enjoy free music on Wednesday nights. Melissa says just add take-out, friends, and a picnic blanket for a fun night out.

Alyssa recommends Center City Sips, happy hour when Center City's best bars and restaurants host "the summer's happiest hour" every Wednesday, from June 4 through August 27, 5-7 p.m.

Charles recommends a walk or run along the Wissahickon Trail — a beautiful landscape along the banks of the Wissahickon Creek. The trail winds through an old covered bridge, past historical landmarks, and ultimately brings you to the quaint Valley Green Inn, which offers an outdoor café and full restaurant.
