What's your favorite way to entertain visitors?
Doug
Doug takes the kids to the Adventure Aquarium, across the river in Camden, New Jersey. The aquarium features marine and wild life. The West African River Experience includes crocodiles, hippopotamuses and birds in the West African River Experience, the Jules Verne Gallery features an exotic giant Pacific octopus, and Penguin Island is home to 20 resident birds. Plus, the brave — or the foolhardy — can swim with the sharks in the Shark Realm.
Melissa
Melissa takes her visitors out to dine at Café Lift, a low-key, euro style eatery on 13th and Callowhill. According to Philadelphia Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan, “interesting grilled sandwiches and homemade desserts highlight this Loft District gem.”
Charles
Charles treats his guests to a tour of City Hall at Broad and Market, followed by a stroll across the street to Love Park, the gateway to Benjamin Franklin Parkway and the Museums District located at 16th and JFK Boulevard.
LaToya
LaToya puts her out-of-town guests — kids and grown-ups alike — in the center of the action by taking them to the IMAX theater at the Franklin Institute After that heart-stopping show, she takes everyone on a tour of the Giant (5000-square-foot) Heart that's been a favorite among Philadelphians for more than 50 years.
Ann
Ann likes to get out of the city to Linvilla Orchards, in nearby Media. At this 300-acre farm dedicated to agriculture, entertainment, and education, visitors can pick their own fresh fruits and vegetables, take a hayride, go fishing in Orchard Lake, or cut their own Christmas tree.
