One Gift Makes a Difference

Sustaining the programs and newsworthy accomplishments of Penn GSE requires ongoing support from alumni and friends One of the most important strengths of GSE, and any institution –but one which is often overlooked– is the Annual Fund, which raises the unrestricted dollars so critical to the livelihood of the School.

A gift to the annual fund will make an immediate and profound difference in Penn GSE’s ability to fund critical programs in a timely manner, and to assist the more than 75 percent of our students who rely on financial aid.  Our students benefit directly from annual giving- every gift counts!  You sustain the excellence of our student’s and pave their educational journey at Penn GSE.

Additionally, competition is fierce for attracting the best and brightest students to Penn GSE. Many extraordinarily qualified and talented candidates for whom Penn GSE is a first choice are sometimes forced to choose other universities based on available financial aid rather than the program best suited to their interests and talents. Further, donations to the Annual Fund augment GSE’s ability to provide funding for its highest priorities and close the gap for unmet needs and new initiatives.

Restricted Gifts

Restricted gifts commit the University and the Penn GSE to a certain course of action i.e., establishing a professorship, naming a scholarship, fellowship or building. Estate Giving and Planned Gifts

Planned gifts enable those interested to make substantial gifts to Penn GSE in ways that have complemented their personal financial planning. These gifts generate lifelong income, convert low-yielding assets into higher income streams at a reduced capital gain cost, obtain significant income tax deduction, and reduce or eliminate estate taxes. Matching Gifts

You might be able to double your annual giving dollars to the Penn GSE, if you find your company or organization participates in a matching gift program. The process is simple. Contact the human resource office of your company. If they participate in this program, obtain a matching gift form and follow the directions for initiating a match. The form will include information about matching gift eligibility and program limitations.
