Alumni, Students and Friends,
Welcome to the Penn Graduate School of Education Alumni Web page. Once you are a graduate of the School, you become a lifelong member in the Education Alumni Association, an organization with nearly 10,000 members worldwide. While Penn GSE provides the means for personal enrichment and the realization of educational and career goals, the Education Alumni Association gives you an opportunity to enhance the value of your time spent at GSE while offering unique opportunities for continued advancement and professional growth.
Membership in the Alumni Association is “free.” However, we are asking for your participation and involvement of a vast number of School centered activities and events, including Alumni Weekend, various lectures and symposiums held year-round, Commencement, our new mentoring program – “Sharing Your Expertise: Mentoring for Alumni & Students.” These activities are held throughout the year and the Alumni Association is a vital link to learn more and make Penn GSE a presence in your life. I encourage you to explore the School's web site to learn more about the Education Alumni Association and join us to help continue sharing the expertise of the School and its commitment to education. While there, take a moment and fill out the GSE Alumni Survey so we can hear more about your experiences and reflections on Penn GSE.
The GSE Alumni Association is seeking volunteers to serve on its Board of Directors. The Board has available slots for active members to join today. This is a wonderful way to reconnect with GSE and Penn if you have been out of school for a while, or to maintain connections if you are a recent graduate. It allows you to network with other GSE alumni, and become a vital voice in alumni affairs at your graduate alma mater. Board members are invited to various volunteer celebrations at the University of Pennslyvania and are a major part of the overall Penn alumni community.
Being a Board member requires that you be present at 4 meetings that take place weekday evenings during the academic year. If you are interested in joining the Board or obtaining more information, please contact me.
Finally, I would encourage you to join me in making a commitment of annual support to Penn GSE, which provides the financial aid that 75% of our students require. You can empower aspiring future leaders and education professionals in their preparation to advance and create a dynamic future in the world of education. Annual fund support also ensures Penn GSE alumni and friends make a difference in the lives and roles of current and future Penn GSE students. You have the ability to give online instantly and “make a difference” with support of the annual fund today! Go to the annual appeal link, Give to GSE.
The Education Alumni Association would enjoy hearing from you. Please e-mail your comments or questions. Or if you would like more information, contact the GSE Alumni Relations Office at 215-898-9794.
You should take pride in knowing that GSE continues to be among the most respected graduate schools of Education. Help make a difference by becoming an active member of the Penn Graduate School of Education Alumni Association.
