Degree
and Certification Tracks
There
are several certification and degree tracks for candidates:
- Students
who have a master’s degree and are seeking certification
only complete five courses (including the 240-hr internship) during
the first year of the program and are eligible for K–12 Principals
Certification at the end of the first year.
- Students
seeking a master’s degree in addition to certification apply
for and are admitted to the M.S.Ed. degree program in Educational
Leadership, taking five additional courses — three core courses
and two Penn GSE electives — to complete a master’s
degree at the end of the second year.
- Students
currently enrolled in a Penn GSE degree program can enter the
ELPAP cohort and earn the certificate while completing their regular
Penn GSE courses.
