TITLE: Heterogeneity in the Classroom: a systemic approach to liberating teachers in developing countries

The Celebration of Writing and Literacy is an annual one-day conference presented by and for effective teachers throughout the city. Workshops include presentations across grade levels and content areas, including sessions on the use of technology, writing across the curriculum, developing professional learning communities, and literacy strategies that that align with teh Common Core State Standards.

Sponsored by the Penn GSE Educational Linguisticis Division, the TESOL Workshop is an intensive three-day, fifteen-hour introduction to Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages that is offered during the academic year and the summer. Through small, practical, hands-on sessions led by experienced TESOL professionals, participants will learn essential skills for teaching English in US and international contexts. Act 48 credit and NJ Professional Development Hours are available.
