Race in the Academy: Bryan McKinley Jones Brayboy

Dr. Bryan McKinley Jones Brayboy, the Borderlands Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Arizona State University, will present a lecture entitled "Sovereignty Matters: Race and Indigenous Peoples in the Academy." His work focuses on race and equity issues in education, the experiences of indigenous students, staff, and faculty in institutions of higher education, and Indigenous Knowledge Systems in education.

Race in the Academy Series: Sonia Nieto

Dr. Sonia Nieto, Professor Emerita at the University of Massachusetts, will give a lecture entitled "A Long and Bitter Struggle: Latino/a Education in the United States." Her work focuses on multicultural education, teacher preparation and the education of Latinos and other culturally and linguistically diverse student populations.
