Penn GSE teaching alum selected for Stanford fellowship started by Pam Grossman

Before joining the University of Pennsylvania as the Dean of the Graduate School of Education in January 2015, Pam Grossman, jumpstarted Stanford University’s Hollyhock Fellowship program. The renowned program is designed to keep talented, early-career high school educators working in underserved schools from leaving the field.


 

 

 

Michael Farrell named as next principal for Penn Alexander School

Penn GSE’s Child Research Center assesses Philly pre-K needs

Philadelphia wants to make pre-kindergarten available to every 3-and-4-year old, regardless of their need or neighborhood. The city has $60 million in state funding, and Mayor Jim Kenney campaigned on making the program a priority.

Penn Alexander Robotics Team earns a ticket to international championship

The Penn Alexander Robotics Team is on a mission to reduce waste and improve recycling in their school — and their work earned them a trip to the St. Louis World Festival. The students have raised just over $12,000 through a GoFundMe campaign within 18 days, enough to make the trip.
