We have agreements for conference rates reserved at the two hotels closest to campus: the Hilton Inn at Penn and the Sheraton University City.
Hilton Inn at Penn

Conference rates are $239.00/night for rooms with one king bed or two double beds (plus 15.5% tax). Book by January 23 and indicate that you are with the Ethnography Forum to receive the group rate. Sheraton University City

Conference rates are $165.00/night for a traditional room (plus 15.5% tax). Rooms are equipped with microwave, computer and free internet. Book by January 30 and indicate that you are with the Ethnography Forum to receive the group rate. The hotel provides a secure area to store your luggage upon request. Sonesta Hotel Philadelphia
1800 Market Street, (215) 561-7500 . Located in Center City at 18th and Market Streets, near Rittenhouse Square. Rates starting from $149 (plus 15.5% tax). Book by January 31 and indicate that you are with the Ethnography Forum to receive the group rate. Room options include two double beds, one queen bed, or one king bed; rates vary depending on room. All guest rooms offer complimentary high-speed internet access, in-room coffee makers, and free local calls. Homewood Suites by Hilton University City, Philadelphia
4109 Walnut Street, (215) 382-1111(215) 382-1111 . This is the newest hotel in University City, located only 3½ blocks from the conference site. Rooms are studios and one-bedroom suites. Rooms are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, a full size refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Indoor swimming pool available. Free hot breakfasts are included.
Apple (HI-USA) HOSTEL
32 S. Bank Street (215) 922-0222(215) 922-0222 . On a tight budget? HI-USA Hostel on Bank Street is about three and a half miles from Penn, downtown on the Delaware River. Ideally located for city night-life; easy public transportation to the University. Dorm Rooms are $30/night for HI (Hostelling International) members, $33 for non-members. They also offer Semi-Private and Private Rooms which range from $76.20/night with reservation or $84.20/night without reservation. Payment methods: Mastercard, Visa. No personal checks (guests can use a credit card to reserve a bed at http://www.hiusa.org).

Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast

Deposit equal to one night’s stay is required prior to arrival or equal to half of entire stay (whichever is greater). A two-night minimum is required on weekends. Computer station available and free wireless internet. A refrigerator and microwave are available for guest use. Spruce Hill Manor
