Gratz College
Director of Institutional Research (Part-Time)
The newly established Office of Institutional Research is intended to be Gratz College’s central point of contact for data collection, data analysis and report generation. The Director of Institutional Research works with the President and senior administrators on the design and implementation of a comprehensive institutional research and effectiveness program. The position directs and implements all operations associated with institutional research and analysis for all divisions of the College, is responsible for accreditation/re-accreditation and compliance reporting at all levels, and supports strategic planning initiatives and implementation, retention initiatives, and other priority College projects.
The Director is expected to participate actively in establishing a culture of evidence at Gratz College. Additionally, the Director of Institutional Research is expected to articulate data requirements, ensure data integrity, participate in data security standards and establish reporting standards.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in one of the following: education research, organizational development, management, information science, mathematics, or related field.
• Experience in opeational and strategic planning or designing, planning, coordinating, and implementing research projects.
• Knowledge of SQL; local, regional, and national assessment issues; relational database systems; and statistics software preferred but not required.
• Prefer experience in higher education.
• Must possess excellent analytical/data interpretation skills; strong oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Must be able to interact and partner with administrators, faculty, and staff at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plans and implements a comprehensive institutional effectiveness program.
• Assists with special projects, such as the College’s strategic planning processes and implementation of such plans.
• Provides and supports institutional research and analysis across all divisions of the College.
• Develops, administers, interprets, and reports results of constituent surveys (satisfaction, outcomes, climate, etc.). Creates, updates and implements a Systematic Survey Cycle.
• Develops and oversees the publication of an annual institutional Fact Book and other reports to support decision-making and planning.
• Assists in all accreditation/re-accreditation activities of the college. Oversees the completion of the Annual Institutional Profile for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and assists with the preparation for the periodic review report and self-study processes for the College.
• Develops and maintains strategic planning benchmarks and dashboard indicators for decision making. Conducts annual internal and external benchmarking on selected indicators. Performs other peer/aspirant comparisons as needed.
• Provides support to academic departments during the program review process and for selected assessment initiatives.
• Serves on and assists various standing committees (Enrollment Management, Strategic Planning and Budgeting, Leadership Team) by providing data and information to support achievement of committee and college-wide goals.
• Serves ex officio on all assessment committees and assists in the development, administration, and interpretation of various assessment instruments.
• Designs and develops institutional databases for planning, evaluation, and reporting.
• Assists with data collection and benchmarking for grant writing and reporting, as needed.
• Collects and compiles institutional data for enrollment reports, surveys, research etc.
• Serves as coordinator and liaison for the Integrated Postsecondary Educational Data System; coordinates the completion and submission of IPEDS reports.
• Adheres to the Family Rights and Privacy Act in the implementation of any activity in the Office of Institutional Research.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer of the College or Dean of Academic Affairs.
