Workshop 2 - International Experiences of Race and Privilege
Join us for a discussion on diversity and international experiences. Workshop 2 will focus on exploring the topic of race and privilege in a global perspective. How do views differ from country to country and how do different perspectives transfer to US based discussions? How does American discourse on race & ethnicity make space for international perspectives? How can international students better prepare themselves to switch between cultural discourses? Topics will include colorism in Latin America, cultural appropriation in kpop, and more.
Facilitated by: Ayoung Lee (M.S.Ed. '14) and Lauren Scicluna (M.S.Ed. '16)
This event is designed specifically with GSE international students in mind, but we welcome anyone interested!
Dinner will be provided!
