Admission to The Executive Doctorate is competitive.  We receive several times the number of applications than there are available spots in each cohort.  Ideal candidates are senior-level executives in colleges, universities, government, or related associations and organizations.  We admit a cohort, with careful attention to balance a diversity of experiences and roles represented in each group. 

The Penn GSE application process is entirely online.  Applications to The Executive Doctorate are due by March 1.  A complete application includes an Application Form, a two-part Statement of Purpose, two Letters of Recommendation, and all Academic Transcripts.  No standardized test scores are required. We review the entirety of the admission file, looking for evidence of professional and academic accomplishment, as well as substantiation of what the applicant will contribute to and garner from the program.
