Process

Our application process is straightforward. We ask that you submit your completed application form directly to the Penn GSE Admissions Office at the address below

Please include two additional documents with the application form.

  • The first document is your resume. Please make the document specific so as to allow us to ascertain your career progression and accomplishments, but not longer than four pages.

  • The second document is your statement of purpose. The statement should not exceed 1000 words,one-inch margin, and 12-point font and should focus on the factors that have led you to apply to The Executive Doctorate and what you hope to gain from completing the degree. You may also wish to describe your background, significant personal and professional experiences related to your field of study, and important aspects of your academic record. Please include your name on all pages.

You should arrange to have the following forwarded to Penn GSE Admissions Office directly from the source.

  • The first is your academic transcripts from any institution where you have been enrolled in a degree program, both undergraduate and graduate. Please remember a graduate degree is required for consideration. These must be official copies of your transcripts , signed and sealed by the institution(s). The envelopes must be sealed when they are received at Penn GSE.
  • The second is two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to your ability to complete the program and your career potential. Please have these people include the enclosed Evaluation Forms with their letters.
  • The third is your scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or GMAT (Graduate Management Assessment Test), if you have taken either examination within the past five years. You are not required to submit test scores, but they will be considered as part of your application if you do.

There is no application fee for the program. If you accept our offer of admission, there will be, however, a deposit required to hold your place in the class.

Applications are due March 1. We review applications beginning in January, and decisions are typically made by early April.

It is thus to your advantage to submit your materials early, as we anticipate that admission to the program will be highly competitive.
