The program's curriculum and structure give you the tools and time you need to develop your leadership skills. An innovative curriculum combines core
educational leadership studies with academic, personal and career development
to shape and mentor leaders. Its smart structure builds learning into hectic work schedules and creates a dynamic learning community of top researchers, leading-edge practitioners, and like-minded peers. The program offers students an unmatched opportunity to incorporate their current professional practice into
the development of a doctoral dissertation and to finish the dissertation within
the program's 36 months. The curriculum also allows eligible students to pursue Pennsylvania administrative certification as supervisors, or superintendents.
News! In order to support further the collaboration within and across student cohorts, including the power of informal learning before/after class times, all students will be provided accommodation in the same hotel, double-occupancy, starting in January, 2010, within the standard program fees.
N.B.: We encourage students to investigate new federal loan forgiveness provisions for public service professionals, along with other emerging supports. A site not affiliated with Penn GSE, IBRinfo, provides further information.
