Penn GSE has the advantage of being a small school nestled within a large university. While Penn consists of 10,000 graduate students from 12 schools on campus, GSE consists of 1,000 students with over 20 areas of specialization. So while our students have the benefit of studying in an interdisciplinary environment with a variety of campus resources, such as the Graduate Student Center, Career Services and the Weingarten Learning Resources Center, our students also enjoy a high level of personal attention and support from world-class faculty and staff that would not be possible in a larger setting.
The hub of student life at Penn GSE is the Academic and Student Affairs Office. From orientation to commencement, the role of the office is to provide a responsive, nurturing environment for students to pursue their academic goals. The Academic and Student Affairs Office supports a wide array of student organizations, events, and programs, offering something for everyone and enriching students' time at GSE.
