GSE faculty projects and research in Asia run the gamut from ethnographic studies of India's southwestern Kerala state to the complexities of English language instruction in Japan and other Asian countries. Current efforts include advising the governments of Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam on educational reform; collaborating with two Chinese universities to improve math teacher preparation; building TESOL programs in South Korea; and developing financing for a large-scale tuberculosis prevention/treatment initiative in China.
