TESOL workshop

The TESOL Workshop is an intensive three-day, fifteen-hour introduction to Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Through small, practical, hands-on sessions led by experienced TESOL professionals, participants will learn essential skills for teaching English in U.S. and international contexts. Session topics include:

  • Teaching Sounds and Structures of English
  • TESOL Teaching Methods
  • Developing Materials for ESL/EFL
  • Planning Lessons
  • Language Assessment
  • Teaching English Abroad
  • Employment in the TESOL Profession

Fall 2009 dates:
August 14 - 16, 2009
November 6, 7, & 14, 2009

Regular registration is $324 (an early registration fee is also available). After completing the course and the follow-up assignments, participants receive a certificate of completion from the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.
