The Penn PCP International Young Scholars Program

The Penn PCP International Young Scholars Program is the newest facet of the nearly decade-long collaborative effort between the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and Hong Kong PCCW Limited, one of Asia's leading integrated communications companies. Now, they have joined with the China Center for International Educational Exchange (CCIEE) of China's Ministry of Education to create a new pre-college program focused on preparing outstanding Chinese high school graduates for global leadership roles in their future careers.

The Penn PCP Program uniquely prepares talented Chinese high school students to enter world-class Ivy League universities in the United States.

One of the most distinctive aspects of this program is its 12-18 month curriculum that begins in China and ends in the United States. Beginning in Beijing, students attend training classes at the University of International Relations for six months, focusing on the TOEFL and the SAT.

Following TOEFL and SAT test results, the top students are invited to take part in the US-based phase of the program, located at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to receiving specialized training, the students also audit classes at Penn and visit other school campuses.

Penn GSE International is also happy to announce the establishment of a new branch office in Beijing's Chaoyang District, to act as the in-country liaison office between the Philadelphia and Beijing partners in the Penn PCP Program. This office is organized in conjunction with CCIEE and will act as the information and organization center for students and their families in China.
