Dissertation Topic:

Samuel Rikoon is a Ph.D. student in the Quantitative Methods program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.  His current work focuses primarily on the psychometric analysis of early childhood learning behaviors and the study of their development across the transition from prekindergarten to school.  Sam also collaborates with researchers in Psychology on studies characterizing the subjective experience of students during a random sample of their daily activities, as well as the empirical facets of conscientiousness.  His past research has involved the analysis of a cluster randomized controlled trial to assess a distributed leadership initiative in the Philadelphia public schools, and the clinical assessment of addiction and substance abuse.
