Writing Powerful Proposals: Participants learn how to streamline their proposal writing process and utilize contract-winning strategies including how to (1) read and evaluate an RFP to identify requirements and determine proposal emphasis and approach; (2) write clearly and directly, eliminating wordiness and stale language; (3) demonstrate capabilities, knowledge of the customer's business, and responsiveness to the customer's needs; (4) customize personnel resumes (bios); and (5) use headings and illustrations to guide the reader, clarify information, and emphasize selling points. This is a comprehensive course on logistic regression analysis for binary dependent variables, along with some related methods. Topics include odds and odds ratios, maximum likelihood estimation, convergence failures, probit regression, logistic regression for contingency tables, ordered logistic regression, multinomial logit, GEE estimation, multilevel logistic regression, response-based sampling, Poisson and negative binomial regression, discrete choice models and longitudinal data analysis. No previous knowledge of logistic regression is necessary. However, participants should be familiar with linear regression and basic principles of statistical inference. |
