PLN is involved in an exciting program with The Muse Project out of Laguna Beach, California. The partnership will be known as the PLN/Muse Project and the focus is the integration of musical/cd versions of American historical documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, etc. PLN faculty members and other middle school and high school Social Studies, English and Music educators are developing an instructional guide to accompany the cds (by Muse founder and composer, Ms. Lynda Roth) with the support of PLN. These materials and the PLN/MUSE workshop program will be available as of 2008 and will be an excellent way for Social Studies, Music and English teachers to support a variety of ways (including music/the arts) to comprehend and connect with American history.
