••• PFT to Expand Work of Penn Partnership Schools •••

The Philadelphia Federation of Teachers (PFT) has been awarded an Innovation Fund grant to collaborate with Penn in dramatically expanding work begun in the Penn Partnership Schools. The effort will include the development of a K-12 network of teacher professional development in the public schools of West Philadelphia.

The Innovation Fund grant program is a newly established initiative of the American Federation of Teachers. Grants are awarded teacher unions and their partners to improve school, teaching, and learning. The PFT is among the first recipients of the new awards.
