Funding for Student Presentations

In order to encourage and assist GSE students in presenting at professional conferences, Student Affairs may reimburse up to $200 of conference expenses per academic year as long as the following conditions are met:

 
  1. You must be a matriculated degree candidate at GSE and enrolled in the semester in which you present, or the graduate of a one-year master's program presenting the semester following your degree completion; 
  2. You cannot get reimbursed for more than 100% of conference costs.
  3. Although you can be reimbursed for transportation, lodging and copying, meals  and recreation will not be reimbursed.
  4. You must submit the required forms (C1), original receipts, and a copy of the conference program showing the title of your presentation and your name to the GSE Student Affairs Office within 30 days of the date of the presentation.
  5. Requests received after June 1 will not be processed until after July 1.
  6. This policy is offered on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated funds are depleted. If the allocated funds are not depleted at the end of the academic year, students who have been reimbursed once can submit for another reimbursement before the next fiscal year.

GAPSA Research Travel Grant Program
The GAPSA Research Student Travel Grant is available to full-time students who are pursuing a PhD or research MA or MS degrees. Students can apply for individual awards of up to $300 to help defray the costs associated with presenting their research at academic conferences and meetings.
