The Student Affairs Committee (SAC)

Mission Statement

The Student Affairs Committee (SAC) exists to promote the quality of life for students at GSE. The committee develops and evaluates proposals from the GSE community that may improve student-faculty and student-school relationships having to do with academic and social interests beyond the purview of specific academic programs. It also addresses student concerns by maintaining and improving communication. SAC serves as an advocacy group for students to improve the quality of current programs and acts as a liaison between students and the administration.

The committee coordinates the selection of recipients for the annual Excellence in Instruction Award, the Service to Students Award, and the Outstanding Masters and Doctoral Student Awards. SAC is a separate entity from the student affairs office which plans and sponsors social and co-curricular programs for the school.
