Penn GSE Event: COPING STRATEGIES TO MANAGE ANXIETY FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
During this uncertain time we might feel that many things are out of our control. Since there are no answers to some questions our anxious mind might focus on the worst case scenario.Through this workshop we will work towards identifying some of our anxious thoughts and how it impacts our daily lives. We will also cover some strategies that can be helpful to reduce these anxious thoughts. As a group we will practice some ways to unhook from unhelpful thoughts so they have less power over our lives. We will also cover strategies that can motivate us to do our tasks during this pandemic. We will include an activity that helps us journal our thoughts. This process of journaling will help us explore and reflect on our experience more deeply.
