Leah L. Gillion will present the Education Policy Colloquium titled: Education, Political Ideology, and Academic Outcomes. She is the Richard Stillwell and Agnes Newhall Stillwell Fellow Ph.D candidate at Princeton University and Provost Pre-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a former high school teacher who taught in urban school districts for over seven years and experienced first hand the impact that state and federal education policies had in her classroom. Leah's present research examines the impact of politics on education and how ideological differences can impact educational outcomes for minority students.
