The University of Pennsylvania Predoctoral Training Program in Interdisciplinary Research Methods for Field-based Research in Education, sponsored by the Institute for Education Sciences (IES), welcomes Dr. Terri Pigott to our weekly seminar series.

An Introduction to Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis: Understanding Education Research
Presented by Dr. Terri Pigott, Professor, School of Public Health and College of Education and Human Development, Georgia State University

This presentation will provide an overview of the steps involved in conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis, from problem formulation through data analysis. These steps will be illustrated with a systematic review published in Review of Educational Research from Dietrichson et al. (2017) examining the effectiveness of school-based interventions to increase academic achievement.
