Join Penn GSE Dean Pam Grossman, Professor Sigal Ben-Porath, and Professor of Practice Andrea Kane as they discuss current challenges in education around the boundaries of open expression. In this conversation, Penn GSE experts will discuss some of the topics that impact key stakeholders in K-12 and higher education spaces. Educators, students, families, and policymakers remain divided about where boundaries can and should exist regarding school curriculum, classroom discussion, systemic racism, book bans, library scrubbing, inclusionary and exclusionary practices for LGBTQ+ individuals and other minority groups, among other current topics.
