Research is an integral part of the learning experience at Penn GSE with students engaging in research of their own as well as participating in faculty research.
Among the many opportunities for engaging in research are:
- The Educational Linguistics Forum (ELF) explores the dynamic relationship between linguistics and education by supporting and promoting student research in the transdisciplinary field of educational linguistics.
- Working Papers in Educational Linguistics (WPEL) is a student-managed journal that presents work by students and faculty within the University of Pennsylvania community. WPEL’s focus is on research specifically related to areas of educational linguistics.
- Penn GSE Perspectives on Urban Education Journal. A student-run, on-line publication, the Urban Ed journal provides as an interactive forum to investigate critical issues in urban education. Submissions of research findings as well as studies in progress are encouraged from graduate students, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers.
