Strong said African students are “learning what it means to be a citizen, developing political identities, and learning the extent to which their governments and societies will support them.”
Affirmative action is consistently challenged in court but often only examined from a US lens. Penn GSE’s Daniel Wagner suggests that by reviewing policies from other countries, the US could begin to build a more proactive system that increases equity in higher education.
