Penn GSE Jumps in National Ed School Rankings

March 12, 2013 - Penn GSE has been ranked 7th nationwide in the newly released U.S. News & World Report 2014 graduate school rankings. Moving up two notches from last year, the School continues to build on its reputation as the place for cutting-edge ideas for improving education.

Known for a deep commitment to research, innovative teacher training, and preparation of education's most talented leaders, Penn GSE attracts some of the brightest to its Ivy League campus in Philadelphia. Incoming students are top performers on the GRE, and our doctoral programs boast some of the most competitive acceptance rates in the country.

This rigorous acceptance criteria earns students the opportunity to work closely with our highly respected faculty and graduate as the "leaders of leaders" in education. Penn GSE had just under two doctoral students for every faculty member in 2012, and many of our master's students have the opportunity to work closely with tenured faculty – a testament to the School’s commitment to preparing the education leaders needed to rebuild the nation’s education system.

Two of Penn GSE's programs were also ranked in the top ten nationally. Our powerhouse Higher Education program jumped up to 6th, and our influential Education Policy program was ranked 8th.
