Professional Biography
Charles Alt is currently a member of the Princeton Day School science department. He instructs courses in biology, anatomy and physiology, and is the current co-director of the school’s Penn Day School Teaching Residency Program. Additionally, he oversees the school’s Science Research Program (REx) and has recently pioneered an innovative STEAM immersion for 9th grade students. Previously, he was assistant STEAM coordinator at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT, where he also taught environmental science, biology, ethics, and philosophy. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Biology and an M.A. in History and Philosophy of Science from Florida State University, and degrees in biology and philosophy from Fairfield University.
