Professional Biography
Dr. Taylor Hausburg is the Teacher Program Lead at the Penn GSE Center for Professional Learning. In this role, she leads the development of teacher-facing professional learning programs for educators around the world. Dr. Hausburg also serves as Director of the Teaching and Leading Social–Emotional Learning Certificate Program and Co-Director of the Project-Based Learning for Global Climate Justice Program.
Before coming to Penn GSE, Dr. Hausburg worked as a founding faculty member of an all-girls secondary school in India, where she developed the school’s leadership program. She also taught college-level English in Rwanda through the Fulbright Program and middle school math in California through Teach for America.
Taylor’s current research and professional interests include social–emotional teaching and learning, environmental education, curriculum design, and teacher education. She holds a B.A. in linguistics from Duke University, an M.A. in urban education from Loyola Marymount University, and an Ed.D. in Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
