Professional Biography
Caroline Lee is the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Chair of the Multicultural Development Team at the Princeton Day School (PDS), where she focuses on faculty programming, training, and curriculum. She is currently the Co-Director of PDS’ The Day School Teaching Residency Program and part of the Reflective Practice strand. At PDS, she is a member of the English department teaching 9th graders and electives on Asian American Literature, Gender and Literature, and Mindfulness. Prior to her current position at PDS, Caroline held faculty positions at two boarding schools – teaching four years at The Hill School and ten years at The Lawrenceville School. She has also worked with the Character Lab to design a playbook on Purposeful Practice. That experience kindled her passion for research on practice and habits, especially as it relates to systems, teaching, and learning. She holds a double major from Rutgers in English and art history, a M.A. in English from Pennsylvania State University and a M.L.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. As a writer, Caroline was commissioned to write stories about the Chinese Exclusion Act for the National Archives of Philadelphia.
