Professional Biography
Dr. Jeanne Stanley is an Adjunct Professor at Penn GSE and has taught graduate courses and training programs at the University of Pennsylvania since 1994. She previously directed three of the master’s programs at Penn GSE and is affiliated with the Executive Program in School and Mental Health Counseling M.S.Ed., the Professional Counseling M.Phil.Ed. program, and the Mid-Career Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership. She is also an affiliated faculty member at Penn Arts & Sciences with the Alice Paul Center. In addition, Dr. Stanley serves as a Dissertation Chair and Dissertation Committee Member for the Mid-Career Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership. Courses taught include: Counseling Interventions, Counseling Techniques, Ethics in Counseling, and Professional Counseling Seminars.
Dr. Stanley is a licensed psychologist and the owner and executive director of Watershed Coaching & Consultation Services and Grad School Coaching. She works as a national trainer and consultant for school districts, independent and private schools, as well as companies in the areas of belonging, workforce management, identifying and applying our strengths in work and school settings, and successfully preparing for the national counseling exams (NCE and NCMHCE). Her publications in professional journals and books focus on counseling young adults and adults in their personal, career, and professional goals. Her current writing project is a book on the life of Storme DeLarverie.
