Professional Biography
Scott Van Pelt is the Director of Research & Faculty Affairs at Penn GSE. In this role, Scott supports faculty, programs, and divisions in navigating all faculty-facing actions, including promotions, reappointments, and tenure reviews. Additionally, he works across the School to develop data-driven resources to support faculty work.
Scott is an experienced educator and facilitator, having designed and taught classes, sessions, and workshops for Penn GSE, the Wharton School, the U.S. Fulbright Program, and others. He is also an author and frequent speaker on the topic of higher education, with a special focus on changes and innovative models for designing and delivering educational experiences for lifelong learners. Scott has been privileged to work with dozens of colleges and universities across North America as they re-examine their own strategic plans within the context of a shifting higher education landscape.
