Overview
The Instructional Coaching certificate program equips teacher mentors, coaches, and instructional leaders with the skills to support adult learning through collaborative, equity-centered coaching. Developed by Penn GSE and the Teacher Development Network LLC, the program focuses on five core components: vision, relational trust, listening, language, and protocols. Participants engage in four interactive modules, attend live sessions with expert coaches, and complete a supervised inquiry project to apply their learning in real-world contexts.

About the Program
The course is divided into four asynchronous modules. Each module includes a set of submodules that break the topic down, introduce new tools and skills, and prepare coaches to apply their learnings. Module assignments offer participants the opportunity to practice the knowledge, skills, and tools learned in the module in their own contexts and reflect on those experiences.
Important note: While participants do not need to be working in a coaching role to complete this course, learning to coach does require practice. Therefore, participants will need to ensure they have at least one educator willing to work with them in a coaching capacity to complete course assignments.
