Penn GSE offers a number of dual degrees in coordination with other graduate schools at the University of Pennsylvania.

You must be a full-time student and accepted to each program separately prior to obtaining a dual degree. Enrolled students interested in pursuing a dual degree within one of these programs should immediately consult with their academic advisor.

Joint Degrees and Dual Majors

If you are a Penn GSE master’s student and interested in studies across two Penn GSE programs, you may be eligible to pursue a dual major (one degree in two programs). Advance permission and acceptance into both programs is required; please consult with your academic advisor. Likewise, it is possible to pursue a joint degree, where a student earns one degree in two fields (i.e., Ph.D. in Higher Education and Ph.D. in Sociology). Again, the student must apply and be admitted to both programs in the two schools.
