Through a strategic and mutually beneficial partnership, the Jacobs Foundation and Penn GSE will advance a shared belief in the transformative power of education to empower and best position the next generation of education entrepreneurs to create lasting change in the lives of learners worldwide.

The collaboration, entitled “Partnering for Impact: Accelerating and Sustaining Entrepreneurial Innovation and Impact in Education,” will create a new innovation model pipeline and accelerator encompassing a set of research-based, practice-informed, and pressure-tested pathways to promote venture ideation, design, testing, launch, and acceleration.

The project will build on the success of Penn GSE’s leadership in education entrepreneurship—including the world’s first master’s degree program in education entrepreneurship and the first global certificate in education innovation—to support the development of new learning models, leadership pathways, and global networks for change.

The Jacobs Foundation is active worldwide in promoting child and youth development and learning. The Foundation was founded in Zurich by entrepreneur Klaus J. Jacobs in 1989. The Jacobs Foundation allocates a budget of 45 million Swiss francs per year to fund research projects, intervention programs and scientific institutions. It is committed to scientific excellence and evidence-based research.

More information will follow as the project moves forward this year.
