Catalyst @ Penn GSE

Home to the Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Prize in Education, the Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition, and an Education Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Catalyst @ Penn GSE cuts across sectors to serve educators, entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, investors, business leaders, and others with a stake in education’s power to create opportunity for all learners.

Center for Professional Learning

Penn GSE’s Center for Professional Learning offers Virtual Institutes, Certificate Programs, and a variety of webinars and workshops for teachers, school leaders, and community organizations.

Center for School Study Councils

The Center for School Study Councils (CSSC) is a professional learning community for public school superintendents to be proactive leaders and facilitates their continuous learning and application of that learning.

Coalition for Educational Equity

The Coalition for Educational Equity provides innovative resources, research-based training, and technical assistance and consultation in a broad array of equity solutions and services to school district leaders through multiple consortia throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.

Collaboratory for Teacher Education

The Collaboratory for Teacher Education at Penn GSE is a laboratory for the design, implementation, and study of experimental approaches to teacher education. The Collaboratory partners with Penn GSE’s academic programs and the Center for Professional Learning to offer a range of opportunities for ongoing learning and educator development.

PELS: Penn Educational Leadership Simulations

The Penn Educational Leadership Simulations (PELS) Program, a project of Penn GSE’s Mid-Career Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership, builds on the rich experiences of veteran educational leaders by creating problem-based simulations in both online and in-person formats.

Penn Literacy Network

The Penn Literacy Network (PLN) is a comprehensive professional development/curricular enhancement/school reform program, providing on-site and regionally based credit-bearing and noncredit-bearing courses, workshops, coaching programs, and leadership trainings.

Philadelphia Writing Project

The Philadelphia Writing Project (PhilWP) is a network of over 800 teacher consultants who work with teachers and other educators to explore literacy, writing, teaching, and learning in their classrooms and schools regardless of grade or discipline.
