“It has been wonderful to see alumni, friends, and others in the Penn GSE community rise to the challenge and support the growth of future educators through scholarship aid,” said Josh. “Thank you to everyone whose passion for education made this challenge an incredible success.”

During the month of April, Josh matched all donations made to the Annual Fund, up to $1,000 per donor and $10,000 for the entire challenge, so that gifts could “grow” to twice their original size through the match.

The Penn GSE Annual Fund dedicates 100% of gifts to scholarship support. In keeping with the 2013–2014 Penn GSE Annual Fund theme, Make a Gift. Share Your Passion, all donations support GSE students’ passion for education through scholarship aid, empowering them to transform and renew education around the world.

Josh believes that scholarships play a critical role in ensuring that the most promising, hard-working applicants will have access to Penn GSE. “Scholarships help to attract the best-quality talent,” said Josh. “Gifts to the Annual Fund help deserving students to attain a prestigious education regardless of their current financial circumstances.”
