Penn GSE to Host Twitter #satchat on Education Leadership Preparation Programs

February 13, 2014 - This Saturday, February 15, Penn GSE’s Mid-Career Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership (@MCDPEL) will host #satchat, a weekly Twitter meeting among education leaders from across the globe. Held every Saturday morning, #satchat (derived from “Saturday chat”) is the largest education conversation on Twitter, drawing around 500 participants each week.

The Mid-Career program invites current students, faculty, alumni, and educators who are passionate about the future of education to join in #satchat to discuss “The Future of Educator and School Leader Preparation Programs.” #satchat will run from 7:30-8:30am EDT, and a second discussion for participants on the West Coast will be held from 10:30-11:30am EDT using the hashtag #satchatwc. The discussion will also include a Google Hangout with influential educators, professors, and school leaders from around the country.

To participate, simply log in to Twitter and include either the #satchat or #satchatwc at the end of Tweets. If you do not have a Twitter account, you can watch the conversation at tweetchat.com/room/satchat or tweetchat.com/room/satchatwc. The live video link will also be shared prior to each chat.
