Professional Biography
Matthew Lippincott is working with Daniel Goleman and the team at Key Step Media on the creation of leadership development and coaching programs. He completed his doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania, and is the author of the most recent peer reviewed article exploring leadership effectiveness, Emotional Intelligence (EI), and mindfulness. Matt has released 16 articles on these topics, and he is also a co-author with Dan Goleman, Richard Boyatzis, Peter Senge, Amy Gallo, Vanessa Druskat, Annie McKee and others featured in 4 Emotional Intelligence reference books. He co-authored an article in Harvard Business Review with Dan Goleman, is a keynote speaker, panelist and trainer at the Mindfulness India Summit, and has presented his research for Bank of America, University of Virginia, ATD, and numerous corporate clients. Dr. Lippincotts's dissertation received a top 25 most downloaded award from Proquest in 2018, and he also supports curriculum and training activity in his role as a faculty member with DGEICTP.
Dr. Lippincott has previously held leadership roles at two global software companies, SAS Institute and i2 Technologies (now jda), where he managed operations and teams in North America and Europe. He has also raised capital, transformed business models, and held both leadership and owner positions with smaller organizations. Dr. Lippincott has been a Junior Olympic competitor, outdoor guide, tribal youth counselor, and public safety staff officer for the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He also set a Supreme Court precedent in Texas establishing case law protecting citizens from retaliatory lawsuits.
