Professional Biography
Elliot Weinbaum is the Chief Philanthropy Officer at the William Penn Foundation. In that role, he oversees the Foundation's five grantmaking programs that enhance the quality of life in the Philadelphia region. Elliot previously served as the Foundation's head of education grantmaking, focused on improving opportunities and outcomes for children from birth through high school. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2013, Dr. Weinbaum was an Associate Commissioner at the U.S. Department of Education, where he oversaw the federally funded Regional Educational Laboratories and the What Works Clearinghouse.
