Foreign Language, B.A. Suleyman Demirel University, Kazakhstan

My name is Aigerim Sary, I am a graduate student from Kazakhstan. My major is Teaching, Learning and Leadership. I studied Two Foreign Languages for my bachelor's degree at Suleyman Demirel University in Almaty. While I was a senior student, I had a wonderful opportunity as an exchange program at Jiangsu Normal University, China. I spent a marvelous six months there learning the language and exploring the culture. I met a lot of international students and built cross-cultural bridges. Learning a foreign language where its spoken has improved my level rigorously. My working experience started in Almaty. I was teaching English to high and elementary school students. My passion for teaching and researching this field started since then. Teaching and learning processes are always with me wherever I go. I believe in the significance of life-long learning on self-development. Moreover, I believe in the successful outcomes of hard work and faith.  Dreaming big and believing in my dream brought me to Penn.

Currently, I am interested in learning foreign research and approaches in education, school policy to use and apply in my country. Reading books is my best-loved leisure activity along with hiking and cooking. I am looking forward to new experiences and exciting adventures at Penn and in the United States.
