Urban Teaching Apprenticeship Program

Dual B.A. in Psychology and Spanish La Salle University

Born, raised, and currently living in the city of Philadelphia. He agrees with international superstar Shakira, violence is a result of inequality inequality is lack of opportunity, which led him to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA for two years by assisting the city’s public schools with recovering resources and programs that have been removed or loss due to budget cuts. He is a person that believes that through partnership and resource development, he can help re-establish and foster more hope for the students and families he gets to work with as a teacher. He believes in order to achieve such status, he needs to understand a little bit more in depth the challenges that teachers are going through with the public education system, which led him to apply and become a graduate student in the Urban Teaching Apprenticeship Program at UPenn GSE. He is planning to get his doctorate in educational leadership in the near future and maybe one day become Secretary of Education for the U.S.

 Penn GSE is an institution that serves the community it surrounds. It provides various resources to its community, especially to the schools in the city.
