Professional Biography
A Capstone Instructor for Penn GSE’s Education Entreprenuership master’s program, Robert Nashak is a veteran digital media and games executive, who is an adviser to numerous digital media and technology start ups. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of Survios, Inc., a leading venture-backed virtual reality startup. Robert is a long-term professor at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema and Television, where he teaches classes on the business and management of digital media in Princeton Review’s top-rated interactive media and games program. He co-founded and co-chairs BOLD: The Symposium for Creative Entrepreneurs at Art Center College of Art and Design in Pasadena.
Robert got his start at the edtech company Knowledge Adventure and also worked at Disney during the initial launch of Disney Online. He has since served in numerous executive positions both at startups such as Glu Mobile, as well as large multi-national companies including Electronic Arts, Yahoo!, and BBC Worldwide. He’s been a member of the Television Academy of Arts and Science and BAFTA and is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world on digital media and technology. A former Fulbright and Mellon scholar, Robert did his B.A. at Georgetown University and received his master’s from Oxford University.
