Professional Biography
Karin Swartz is the Assistant Dean of the Center for Community Engagement at York College of Pennsylvania. In her career, she has worked across many campus divisions in student affairs, fundraising, communications, community engagement, and innovation programs. Dr. Swartz also directs and teaches in the Honors Community at York College where her work focuses on design thinking, community-based learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Dr. Swartz completed her undergraduate degree at Ursinus College and maintains her passion for the liberal arts as a result of her time there. She went on to complete her masters in Higher Education at the University of Pennsylvania and her doctorate as part of Penn GSE’s Executive Doctorate in Higher Education Management program.
